A Glowing Review

solar-illuminated-planterThanks to Pam in Cranston, RI, for this photo of our Solar Illuminated Planters. In her review, she gives the product five stars.

“I am on a limited income, and these pots blew my budget. However, they are worth every penny. They are the focal point in my garden. Everyone who sees them falls in love with them. I am giving this a glowing review!”

We have owned our Solar Illuminated Planter for about a year and have really enjoyed it. However, about two months ago it stopped working. We’ve reconnected everything, cleaned everything and done everything else we could think of to get it working again. No luck.

It is in the same place we’ve always had it, no it’s not a matter of other lights affecting it or not getting enough sun, etc. It is on our deck exposed to the elements (rain, occasional snow, fairly wide variation in temps here in the Western North Carolina mountains) but there’s nothing we can do about that short of bringing it inside.

Oddly, though, last night it came on twice, for just a few seconds each time, but that would seem to indicate that potentially it could start working again. Any suggestions? What is the expected life of these planters?

I have soil that somehow got between the soil container and the illuminating shell. How do I remove it? It is unsightly.
