We hope you enjoy this slideshow tour of the English gardens of the Bressingham family. Adrian Bloom has developed dozens of superior perennials, many of which have a horticultural heritage in North America and made them available through the family nursery, Blooms of Bressingham.

One lifetime isn’t long enough to complete a garden. Alan Bloom was a passionate, incredibly industrious, lifelong plantsman. Though he lived to the ripe old age of 98, when he died the gardens surrounding Bressingham Hall, his home in Norfolk, England, were still in process. All six acres of them.

Fortunately, one of Alan’s sons, Adrian Bloom, is a renowned plantsman himself. While Alan continued working on his Dell Garden, Adrian began planting gardens around his own home next door. At the time of Alan’s death in 2005, the two adjoining gardens covered a total of 12 acres.

Adrian has developed dozens of superior perennials, many of which have a horticultural heritage in North America and he has made them available through the family nursery, Blooms of Bressingham. Enjoy a virtual stroll through Alan and Adrian’s gardens, as they looked last September.
